Strong interest in skills development at Load Up North
On August 27–28, RUFFS participated in Load Up North in Boden, an important meeting place for companies operating in the construction, infrastructure, transport, and industrial sectors.
Over two intensive days, we met with numerous companies and engaged in valuable discussions about the skills and competence needs emerging as a result of the industrial development taking place in northern Sweden. Interest in skills development was high, particularly among companies that already are, or aim to become, suppliers to the steel industry.
Many of the companies we spoke with see a clear need to strengthen their capabilities in order to meet future requirements, seize new business opportunities, and contribute to the ongoing industrial transition.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who visited us during the exhibition and took the time to discuss workforce development, training needs, and future opportunities. The many conversations confirmed the strong demand for targeted skills development initiatives and highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry and education providers in addressing the challenges facing the sector.
We look forward to continuing the dialogue with both new and established contacts throughout the autumn.
