RUFFS and Lapplands Lärcentra strengthen collaboration
On 29 September, RUFFS visited Lapplands Lärcentra in Pajala for a workshop on how education providers can work together to better meet the skills development needs of industrial companies.
During the day, we discussed how adult education, higher vocational education and university courses can be better connected. The aim is to make it easier for companies to find the right training based on their specific challenges, for example in maintenance, automation, production and skills development.
An important part of the discussion was to start from the companies’ day-to-day operations and the value that training should create. This could include reducing production downtime, making better use of new technology, broadening employees’ skills or securing critical knowledge for the future.
Lapplands Lärcentra offers industry-oriented training and works with flexible learning formats for both new students and professionals. Through continued collaboration, we want to make it easier for industrial companies to find training at the right level and combine different initiatives based on their needs.
The visit provided valuable perspectives and a strong foundation for continued collaboration on skills development for industry in northern Sweden.
