RUFFS and VHO met companies at the Norrland Conference 2026
On March 11–12, RUFFS and VHO (Västerbotten’s Sustainable Transition) participated in the Norrland Conference 2026 at Medlefors in Skellefteå. The conference brought together companies and organizations from across northern Sweden to discuss production, quality, leadership, and the future of industry.
During the conference, we had many conversations with companies about their day-to-day operations, challenges, and future needs. We also presented our offerings in skills development for small and medium-sized enterprises with links to the steel and metal industry value chains.
The program featured several inspiring examples of how companies and organizations work with development and change. Lindbäcks Group shared insights into their work with circularity and innovation. LEAB, SSC Klingan, and Plastex talked about their experiences from the Productivity Leap program. Participants also gained perspectives from other organizations where continuous improvement is a natural part of daily operations, including Skellefteå Airport and Skellefteå AIK. Sofia Andersson Lundberg from Sara Cultural Centre moved the audience as she shared her personal journey and how she has dealt with setbacks and change.
For us, the conference provided valuable insights into companies’ skills needs and resulted in several new contacts to build on going forward. The dialogues strengthen our continued work to offer relevant and practical initiatives for companies that want to be well prepared for the industrial transition.
Are you active in a small or medium-sized company and interested in learning more about how RUFFS can support your business? Feel free to get in touch – we are happy to start a dialogue based on your needs.
