Structure
Workplace-based education gives students unique opportunities for practical learning. By participating in daily work, they develop both professional skills and an understanding of the industry. In addition, their professional identity, insight into workplace culture, and sense of belonging to the work community are strengthened.
The training is based on the Swedish National Agency for Education’s online support, where facts are combined with videos and various types of exercises. The instructor introduces exercises linked to videos and facts, presents questions, leads discussions, and highlights examples, viewpoints, and conclusions.
The training is preferably conducted on-site as it is based on discussions and reflections among participants but can also be delivered digitally. The duration is about 4–5 hours and can be held in one or two sessions.
